3 Ways to Lower TNF Naturally

9/9/2022

This week’s minute looks at 3 natural ways to increase your natural healing, improve your immune system, and lower pain.
There is a protein in the body that plays a role in the natural healing process, called Tumor Necrosis Factor (TNF).

In healthy people, TNF helps the body fight off infection. In people with autoimmune disease (psoriatic arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ulcerative colitis, and Crohn’s disease), high levels of TNF in the blood causes inflammation and painful symptoms.

People who are overweight also can have increased TNF which can lead to insulin resistance, a condition that causes your blood sugar to stay elevated and can lead to type 2 diabetes.

Ideally, you want to keep your TNF levels from elevating.

Here are 3 ways to lower TNF naturally:

1. Get regular exercise.  Daily exercise will help get rid of fat, where TNF lives.

2. Eat a healthy diet. The following foods help fight inflammation:
Green, leafy vegetables
Fatty fish, like salmon, tuna, sardines, and mackerel
Fiber
Fruits, like strawberries, blueberries, cherries, and oranges
Nuts

3.  Get regular chiropractic care. A study reported in the Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics showed a reduction in high blood tumor necrosis factor-alpha levels after spinal manipulation therapy.

Keep your immune system healthy with a nutritious diet, regular exercise, quality sleep, a positive attitude, and regular chiropractic care.

Make chiropractic a regular health habit for the whole family to ensure your spines and nervous systems are working the best they can.

And that is this week’s Family Health Minute.
