Testimonial – Dr Nicole Puchner (April 2011 to August 2011)
After much convincing, from one of Dr Puchner’s previous patients, I made an appointment to
see the Doctor for my left calf & foot that was very painful and had been limiting my mobility for
several months.
My first consultation with Dr Puchner was to do an SRE Test which would establish how my
nervous system is working. I also completed a form giving the Doctor some information
regarding my day to day health and lifestyle habits.
Once Dr Puchner had completed the evaluation and explained the results of the test, we started
with a programme that involved daily consultations of 30mins each for the first week or so. Albeit that
my foot and leg were the reasons for going to see the Doctor, she explained that there were other,
underlying problems that may be influencing my foot and leg pain and that we would work on all those
areas over a period of time.
After a week or two, I started experiencing changes over and above the physical one’s that were as
a direct result of the Doctor’s manipulations / adjustments. I asked Dr Puchner about this and she
explained that because of the adjustments my central nervous system was “awakening” and starting
to work like it was supposed to.
For example:
I completely and utterly lost interest in smoking and quite easily tossed the packet in the dustbin without
looking back or having any craving whatsoever since I did that 3 months ago. I smoked, on average,
20-30 cigarettes a day.
From having 5-8 (perhaps more) alcoholic drinks every night of the week I now have 3-4 alcoholic drinks a
week, and sometimes nothing at all. Coffee was up at 10-12 cups a day and that too has dropped significantly.
Rooibos Tea seems to be more enticing now and I am working at upping the water intake on a daily basis.
Sleeping at night has improved significantly and I’m having a more restful sleep unlike before where I slept very
deeply for 2-3 hours and then lay awake and tossed and turned for the duration of the night. The sleep that I did manage was filled with very active and vivid dreams. I now wake up feeling more rested and like I can, actually,
cope with the day ahead without craving sleep all the time or feeling utterly exhausted.
Some years ago I developed a fairly severe eczema that was diagnosed by a Dermatologist as “Stress”
related eczema and I was told that I would just have to live with it for the rest of my life. I have also been
using a Cortizone cream on a daily basis, since then, to control the problem.
Within a few weeks of receiving treatment, from Dr Puchner and up until today, nearly 3 months later,
I am happy to say that I have had no eczema at all. That has been one of the major changes for me
and has certainly done wonders for confidence levels.
As Dr Puchner explained, right in the beginning, this is no “QUICK FIX”. It’s about taking the time to establish
why we have the problems we do and once we’ve done that, making a conscious decision to change the way
we do things to enable us to live a healthier, less stressed lifestyle.
It has been an on-going process and I now see Dr Puchner twice a week. The changes I have experienced
have been phenomenal and certainly positive as far as my health and lifestyle are concerned. I look forward to continued success and positivity and can only thank Dr Puchner for the “lifeline” she offered and for her continued guidance & support and of course medical expertise too.
