I started chiro when I was in my 3rd trimester due to constant lower back and leg pain. It was like sciatica and my muscles were stiff from all the tension in my back trying to carry the heavy baby. I was referred to Dr Susan due to her expertise with pregnant women and infants.
How did chiro benefit me? Well, it benefited my entire family.
From the very first session, I found some relief. With more sessions, I noticed how the quality of life in my home was improving. I had gradually become impatient and unpleasant to my children and husband because any physical movement caused a sharp pain and sitting or laying still gave a dull but constant pain. With chiro I noticed that I became a better mother and wife as I was able to increase my attention and care for them.
Emotionally, before my chiro sessions I was depleted. I felt unhappy and didn't enjoy the pregnancy. It was such a damp and heavy feeling that I thought I was falling into a depression due to the constant feeling of being overwhelmed and unable to do anything. The pain had also affected my marriage because I could not be intimate with my husband. This was putting a strain on our relationship, but because he could see the constant struggle I was having with the pain, he could somehow understand.
The power of chiro cannot be restricted to the physical benefits, as it has a ripple effect into all areas including mental, emotional and general wellbeing.

Trudy
