Not Exercising May Be Worse for You Than Smoking

A new study found that not exercising may be more harmful to your health than smoking.

Although it is well known that a physically active lifestyle leads to a healthy life, the study found a sedentary lifestyle is the equivalent of having a major disease.

Being unfit on a treadmill or in an exercise stress test was found to have a higher risk of death, than being hypertensive, diabetic or a current smoker.

Researchers found a connection between a longer, healthier life and high levels of exercise.  In fact, extremely high aerobic fitness was associated with the greatest survival and benefits in older patients and those with hypertension.

Research consistently supports the more a person exercises the lower their mortality rates.

And of course, Chiropractic care has been proven to improve your overall health and well being.

Make chiropractic a regular health habit  for the whole family to ensure your spines and nervous systems are working the best they can.

And that is this week’s Family Health Minute.
