About us

We help restore balance, support your body’s natural healing ability, and improve overall health and quality of life.

What We Strive For

Our Goals & Priorities

Our goal is to help you identify the causes of your subluxations and locate and correct them, which will allow you to heal on every level.

Our priority is to help you feel better and get you out of pain as quickly as possible, as well as address the underlying causes and show you ways to not have the problem keep coming back, helping your body to adapt better to the stressors and allowing your brain to rewire itself, forming new pathways and better patterns (corrective care). Our patients/practice members often choose to continue with wellness care to continue to get better as they age.

Our Approach

How We View Health and Healing

Your nervous system (brain, spinal cord, and nerves) controls and co-ordinates everything in your body and mind. When your nervous system is functioning optimally without interference, your body and mind are 100% self-communicating, self-healing, self-regulating, and robust.

When you have nerve interference (also known as a subluxation) you are no longer functioning at 100%, your health and vitality are compromised.

Subluxations (nerve interference) are caused by our inability to cope with and adapt to stress. Stress is a part of life; there is good stress and bad stress. The three major stressors we look at are physical, chemical, and mental/emotional.

Meeting Our Amazing Doctors

Behind Fourways Chiropractic are two dedicated chiropractors who bring not only years of expertise, but also a true passion for helping people live healthier, pain-free lives. Each has their own unique journey into chiropractic, yet both share the same mission — to provide care that is professional, personal, and patient-focused.

Dr. Nicole Bernic

Dr. Bernic graduated from the University of Johannesburg in 2005 and soon after opened her first practice in Alberton while also teaching Pilates and working part-time to help people recover from injuries. During this time, she even had the privilege of working with the Lions Rugby team — keeping them performing at their peak.

Her dedication to chiropractic care grew out of personal experience. After witnessing how a chiropractor from Australia transformed her mother’s health, and later her own, she committed herself to learning everything she could about neurologically based chiropractic techniques. She trained under world-leading experts, adopted the most up-to-date methods, and built a thriving wellness practice before establishing Fourways Chiropractic in Fourways.

Dr. Bernic’s journey also became deeply personal when her twin boys were born prematurely. She cared for them from their first days in the NICU, reinforcing her belief that chiropractic care from birth can set the foundation for lifelong health.

Today, her vision is simple yet powerful:
To help babies, children, families, and professionals live healthier, more fulfilled lives by freeing the nervous system from interference. For Dr. Bernic, it’s about changing the world — one adjustment, one person at a time.

Dr. Jasmine

Dr. Jasmine is a dedicated chiropractor whose approach blends the latest neurological insights with traditional chiropractic methods. At the core of her practice is a belief in the body’s natural intelligence and its ability to restore balance and wellbeing.

Dr. Jasmine graduated with a Master’s Degree in Chiropractic from the University of Johannesburg in 2024. During her studies, she gained valuable experience at major sporting events, including the 947 Ride Joburg and the Squash Masters Tournaments, where she developed her skills in managing sports-related injuries. She also participated in community health initiatives, conducting spinal screenings in schools across Johannesburg and volunteering at the Ethembeni Children’s Home, where she was introduced to pediatric chiropractic care.

Her path to chiropractic was shaped by more than academics. With a background in fine arts and dance, Dr. Jasmine developed a deep appreciation for movement and body dynamics. This creative perspective continues to enrich her understanding of how the body functions and adapts.
