Back Pain and an Aging Population

How Back Pain Took Over The World

Welcome to this week’s Brain Based Wellness News.

In today’s news we look at back pain and its impact on the world’s aging population.

People are living about a decade longer; however,  for many, those final years are spent restricted by illness and disability.

The number one cause of declining health and disability is heart disease, associated with high cholesterol and obesity. The number two condition is surprisingly, low back and neck pain.

Populations around the world are aging and back pain often comes with the process; however, there are other factors contributing to the rise in neck and back pain.

Nearly 30% of the world’s population are either obese or overweight. A high body-mass index and a lack of physical activity are both risk factors for back pain.

A healthy lifestyle of nutritious foods and daily exercise will not only keep you healthy, but will also add quality years to your life.

And chiropractic care is a proven safe and effective treatment for neck and back pain no matter what stage of life you are in.

Get regular chiropractic checkups for the whole family, and make sure your spine and nervous system are working the best they can.

Your health will be better because of it.

And that’s this week’s Brain Based Wellness News.
