Avocados Help Reduce Risk for Obesity and Diabetes

​Avocados are one of the healthiest foods you can eat and may help with weight management and blood sugar control, reducing the risk of obesity and diabetes. ………………

Avocados are filling, packed with fiber, and are loaded with essential vitamins and minerals, including the B vitamins, potassium and vitamin K.

Researchers recently discovered avocados also possess a rare fat molecule, avocatin B (AvoB), which has a positive effect on reducing insulin resistance.

The potential risk of developing Type 2 diabetes is dependent on your lifestyle and genetics. Since there is very little you can do about your genetics, there are some healthy lifestyle choices you can make, including regular chiropractic care.

A study done by the Journal of Vertebral Subluxation found that patients with adult onset diabetes who had one month of chiropractic care, along with nutritional and exercise guidance, experienced normalized glucose and blood urine levels.

As type II diabetes has links to obesity, chiropractors can also help patients with diet, nutrition, and exercise guidance, along with normal joint functionality and spinal alignment.
